New storms moving in after rare Northeast tornadoes hit

Good evening, I’m Whit Johnson, and for David tonight, we begin with the new tornado threats and severe thunderstorm watches moving from the Midwest to the Carolinas and along the deep south, millions in the path. Multiple tornadoes touching down over the last 24 hours. A tornado just outside New York City hitting a beach club with 100 people inside. Another tornado ripping off the roof of a hotel in Delaware. Heavy rain and possible flash flooding returning to the northeast this weekend. And late today, a new tropical storm taking aim at the Hawaiian Islands. Lee Goldberg standing by with the forecast. But first, ABC’s Morgan Norwood leads us off. Tonight, towering water spouts storming beaches around New York City. A damaging tornado touching down in Delaware.
